DropBot ITO Glass Chips provide a fully transparent platform for two-plate digital microfluidics (DMF) by using Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) for both the top and bottom plates. These chips retain the general-purpose electrode design of our standard DropBot Glass Chips, ensuring compatibility with the same workflows, while offering improved optical access from both sides of the device.
This enhanced transparency enables real-time droplet observation, minimizes reflections during imaging, and facilitates a range of optical applications where traditional chromium electrodes may interfere. While the electrode pattern remains difficult to visualize directly due to the transparency of ITO, the underlying functionality is unchanged, offering reliable droplet control across a wide range of operations.
Each chip undergoes rigorous inspection to ensure high performance, free from pinholes and hydrophilic defects, and is suitable for use in air, oil, or hybrid DMF environments.
Ideal for applications such as:
- Real-time optical imaging and microscopy
- Cell culture and live-cell analysis
- Fluorescence or absorbance-based assays
- Optical transmission or detection studies
