The DropBot Extender includes three 60cm long cables, each protected by a durable braided sleeve. One end connects to the DropBot v3.0 chip interface and the other features a pogo-pin interface for your DropBot Glass Chips. How do the DropBot Extender and DropBot Well Plate Extender differ?
The DropBot Extender:
- at minimum, supports 40 channels when the 50-pin cable is connected
- is only compatible with stereo microscopes with a long working distance
- is our only extender that is compatible with the DropBot Magnetic Stage
- can accommodate chips up to 3" x 3" (compared to our standard 2" x 3")
The DropBot Well Plate Extender:
- supports 60 channels on each of its two connectors, and each side is stand-alone
- is compatible with any equipment that has a well plate format
- can be used for upright and inverted microscopy
